Re: Interoperability
@ zilmosantos Hi, This just passed on GitHub: https://github.com/qcad/qcad/commit/642ff51413bf04e390cfa1bb14213b6c06e017f3 It seems to handle about 'xi'. In the same list we find 'qc' and more types of formatting. I suspect that Andrew has picked up our conversation ... Not sure that the upd...

Re: Interoperability
Just a complement for my last reply.
I have installed NanoCAD free version and it managed to open both drawings properly (the one with RomanS and the one with QCAD Standard)

Re: Interoperability
Thanks, Husky! The reasons to don't change the font are: - I'm not the owner of the drawing, it's a company with it's own patterns; - It's impractical if I have lots of drawings to work (the font changing evoques some adjustments on the text and title block to fit as intended; - I tried to change th...

Interoperability
Hello for all! I don't know if it's a bug, a limitation, my current QCAD version or other problem, so I'm posting here. I'm having problems working with 3rd party drawings related to fonts. The attached dwg was made in Tekla Structures (as far as I know) and opens normally on DWG True View 2023. But...

Re: Open Drawings on Layout Block by Default
Question: If a drawing contains e.g. 10 layout blocks how would QCAD possible know which one needs to be opened? Maybe QCAD could be able to save on the dxf the "last state" of the drawing. If I saved on the Model and closed, it would open on Model... and if my last save was on the Layout"n", it wo...

[solved - Feature Request] Open Drawings on Layout Block by Default
Sirs, please, is there a way to do this? As the layout block contains the drawing sheet, the number, the viewports, it's the presentable part of the drawing.

Re: How do I select all elements that BOTH ends do connect with another element. Or do not(for deletion)
I was just checking the forum, I'm away of my home computer... but just giving a double click on an entity doesn't select the connected entities? I have discovered this by accident some time ago, but can't remember if it only works with closed loops.

Re: More Radial/Diametric Dimension Types?
Yes, I use them too. But ... a variant of the left example already exist in QCAD. Hi, Husky! Yes, this variant is interesting, but, at least in my opinion, having the option to make the dimension text and the extension line horizontal seems more elegant =) for mechanical drawings. However - the rad...

More Radial/Diametric Dimension Types?
Hello, friends! On my mechanical drawings, I usually find the necessity of using those different types of dimensioning for diametric/radius dimensions. I would like to know if anyone else uses these kind of dimensioning and finds that it would be a great feature for a "feature request". For the grea...

Re: Missing Link: Centroids
Hi, CHV and friends! On my tests of the 1.1 version, I'm only getting results on splines... the command freezes when I try any other shape.
Is this happening with you?
I also tried with the Centroid-examples.dxf file and it's only working with splines shapes. Polylines are not working.

Re: Is there a way to rotate the crosshair? Rotate Coordinate System?
Currently, in QCAD, I can find two ways for doing this: First way: Create a block, copy, rotate it on every necessary angle and make dimensions. Second way: Select the line of the desired angle, find its angle in properties, select the entire field, CTRL+C, invoque rotated dimension, place the angl...
