I installed 3.27.1 for Linux Qt 5.14 64bit and that solved the problem. Thanks so much for you help

I pasted the code into a terminal and the output was Type=x11 .

I started Qcad from a terminal after restarting my computer. This what I saw. The process never completed as I received a warning when I closed the terminal. qcad-3.27.0-pro-linux-x86_64.run This file installed perfectly on my notebook computer which is running the same version of Ubuntu. Qcad opened one time on my desktop but would not open again after Ubuntu software updates.

I had Qcad 3.24.3 installed and working on my desktop running Ubuntu 18.04. I purchased Qcad 3.27.0 and installed from the .run file. It appeared to install but would not open.
