Re: How to avoid that a Tab is added to all stacked Tool paths?

It makes sense to me. 1. Turning off the layer means that you don't want to not only see but also include data there in your current activities. It would be worse if you could not deactivate information from the layer. 2. Considering layer 0: you must have at least one layer of your drawing otherwis...

Re: New feature for CAM module

I agree. But this is a manual method. For a few paths, this is not a problem. In the case of 15 or more, it's easy to forget about it. So I had in mind something more "automatic" (e.g. selected regeneration during the final CAM export operation).

Re: New feature for CAM module

Nope, I guess. But it still does not solve everything. Sometimes there is a need to modify a few small details in certain parts.
Then I can regenerate paths manually but it would be more convenient when only selected toolpaths were regenerated (automatically) before saving the file.

New feature for CAM module

Hello, Recently I have been working on drawings with many parts for which I want to generate separate g-code files. I noticed that when I modify already existing, individual paths for the given tool, all paths are regenerated, even if some are turned off / invisible. As a result, it takes more time ...

Centerline question

Hello,
When I was recently drawing I forgot to add a centerlines.
That's why I would like to ask whether QCAD supports AUTO drawing centerlines between two marked points/objects.

Installing QCAD Pro on multiple machines

Please let me know if it is possible to install QCAD/CAM Pro on two computers
(one user), as long as only one instance will be run at a time.

Re: Another problem with incorrect G-code generation

Cool! Thanks for all your answers. I did not really pay attention to the correctness of the shape. My mistake for which I apologize! For vector graphics, I use Xara Photo & Graphic Designer and then convert it to SVG. I've noticed before that very often simple pictures get more complicated after con...

Re: Another problem with incorrect G-code generation

I noticed that if I enlarge the shape enough, then everything starts to work properly (g-code is correct). Regardless the arc problem, in my opinion the main problem lies in QCAD g-code generator. I did the same in DeskProto 7.1 (for dxf saved in QCAD) and everything is ok (see pictures below). In m...

Another problem with incorrect G-code generation

Hi,
I found another problem with g-code generation. Curves are imported from svg file and converted to polylines.
When I try to generate g-code from the 'cat' path I obtain strange effect (see picture below). Any idea?
My OS: win10, QCAD/CAM 3.27.1. Postprocessor: grbl offset mm.

Re: Error in generating gcode?

Fixed. I changed the length from 4 to 3mm and it works :-)
Any idea what might have been the cause?
I work with the latest release of QCAD/CAM. win10 OS.

Re: Error in generating gcode?

I have changed the tab length as you suggested. Unfortunately, it had no effect (see picture) :-(

Error in generating gcode?

Hi,
I have encountered the following problem: when generating the path for my profile (see files), the lowest part of the path is lost. It looks like a very long tab but I did not declare it in that way. Is it my mistake or problem with the CAM module?

Re: How to avoid that a Tab is added to all stacked Tool paths?

Here is the solution: 1. in CAM Configuration disable "Always regenerate all toolpaths before export". 2. Generate all necessary toolpaths except the last one - which has to have tabs. 3. Add tabs to your last path. 4. Generate the last path. 5. Press CAM Export . See pictures below. Best Regards, K...

Re: Pocket path option

Here is my next approach to this problem. I was able to reduce the milling time to 39 minutes (2 pieces). I still see the possibility of further g-code optimization. Some of the bit movements seem unnecessary. In the first attempt, I wanted to minimize the number of paths. As a result, I created a l...
