khosrow, since you mention twice as big, I didn't see that need.. But indeed, I can imagine that if you make a blowup of part of a drawing and you add dimensions you want to have the capability to show that 'blown up' portion at the right scale. Currently I don't think this is possible, your only op...

I don't have a answer for this problem,

but I found this tool here : http://www.timeguy.com/cradek/01276453959 It's called Truetype Tracer.

It can generate DXF and G-Code output.

I did found that script here : http://sysinf0.klabs.be/usr/share/qcad/scripts/release_translations.sh?dist=;arch= and I don't believe I have seen it in the communoty version. you have to have qt3 installed and it's development libraries. if you run ubuntu, then this should work : sudo apt-get install qt3-dev-tools Then you need to export two variables: QTDIR and QMAKESPEC For a ubuntu machine this should be something like: QTDIR="/usr/share/qt3" QMAKESPEC="$QTDIR/mkspecs...

Best is to start with the scripts directory. If I remember correctly : cd dxflib ./configure make sudo make install cd .. cd fparser ./configure make sudo make install cd .. cd scripts ./build_qcad.sh no_trans Make sure you have QDIR and QMAKESPEC in your environment Mine are set to: export QTDIR=/o...

Andrew,

thank you for your honest reply.
I hope that full 2.x will get released when 3.0 is out then :)

I am making some patches to 2.0 right now and I think they will be usefull in near feature for others to use.

Fingers crossed!

Feature of GPLed version of QCAD

Hey all, I bought a professional version of QCad, and I am very happy with that! However, what is the status of the GPLed version of QCad? Will there be more releases of Ribbonsoft? As far as I can tell teh GPL version is still at 2.0, where there is already for a long time a 2.2 release. Will the 2...
