Upgrade from QCad 2.2
Hi, Back in 2010 (ON 089845), we purchased QCad 2.2 with a free upgrade to QCad 3.0 when it was released. We got as far as Qcad 3.0 RC3 and never actually downloaded the final build. We have replaced our design computer, but can not download any version, probably because it was so long ago when we p...

Hi Andrew. If I take my design (in QCad), save it as an R12 version and load it with LaserCut all the layers persist. I have a laser cutter and it's software (LaserCut) reads DXF files. If I take a file created in AutoCad and load in to LaserCut, each of the layers are present and a remain as separate layers. If I take the same file, load it in to QCad, make a minor change, save the file and load it in to LaserCut,...

Exploding lettering into polylines not working for ampersand
Hi, I've hit a bit of a problem. I am trying to use QCad with a laser engraving machine. I do the designs in QCad and then import them in to the laser software. The laser software takes a DXF file and works on all entities as if there are polylines. When I want to engrave letters, I need to have an ...

Scaling of objects by absolute size
Hi, I would like to see an option to scale an object using an absolute size instead of a ratio. I know that I can calculate the ratio, but it would just be nice if I could specify the required size and have QCad do the calculation for me (maybe its me just being lazy) I've just purchased QCad, but h...
