rePeter: For Windows the problem is known and fixed by QCAD 2.2.2.1 (see download area). Thank you, it works fine. For Linux the problem is new. We will have to check against the particular distribution you have mentioned. Then I am forced to switch betwen Windows and Linux now, temporarily I hope :)

Linux Fedora 13 (64bit) QT 4.6.3 Qcad-2.2.2.0-1 Prof.
File requester causes hang up all program.
I use QCad 3 years but now it is total unusable.
