Re: Vermaßung

Hi, ich würde auch gerne eine Ketten- und Bezugskantenvermaßung in QCAD sehen aber ich denke alles kommt zu seiner Zeit. ... Ich ändere dies manuell, indem ich jede Maßlinie einzeln korrigiere. Das ist sehr Aufwendig. Darf ich fragen wie Du das machst? Jeder hat ja seinen eigenen Weg ... :win...

Re: Qcad Architectural library In English vs sub headings in ????

And, doing search of “DXF and any combination of “electrical residential fixture symbols” produces no results. Try to search for blocks instead of symbols like this example: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1&tbm=isch&q=2d+cad+blocks&backchip=online_chips:architectural+drawing&chips=q...

Re: What Qcad tool to draw Residential Electrical wiring and where to get Symbols?

I would probably use the "Spline (Fit Points)" tool. An open Spline desidned with three points should do it. And it is easy to edit ... ;)

Symbols: You can download free Part Libraries directly from QCAD https://www.qcad.org/en/qcad-add-ons or search the internet for 2D dxf / dwg Symbols.

Re: dashed lines arent showing even when new layer with dashed iso lines selecetd

Hi vdanny - welcome to the QCAD Forum.

Please check "Screen-based Linetypes" below Menu/View. Is it switched to "on"?
If that doesn't solves the issue please attach the drawing. Thanks.

You can convert logically closed polylines to open ones using Draw > Polylines > Logically Open Polylines, then split.
Works. Thanks. :D

Vorher wurden die Ecken gelöscht. Was habe ich verstellt????
wenn Du das Runden Werkzeug startest erscheint eine Options Leiste. Mach einen Haken für "Trimmen" und es sollte wieder so funktionieren wie vorher.

Splitting polylines into parts with equal length

Hi Andrew, the new QCAD (3.21.3) update looks very good. It looks like you invested again a lot of time! Thank you for doing that for us! Question: The "Split Entities" (MS) function is now able to split polylines too. I'm playing right now with it and see it doesn't works on closed shapes like rect...

Re: Pocketing letters

Hello PUIQ - welcome to the QCAD Forum, that looks challenging. 8) Maybe there is a reason why they mostly use single line fonts for 4 mm (?) text. Here are my thoughts. I you are talking about a milling process then I doubt that you will find a milling cutter which is able to create a clean ...

Re: Lost files..........again.

Hi Jim0000, that looks not like a QCAD Problem. The file isn't in the expected location which means the file is deleted or moved. Questions: Which OS are you on? Crashed QCAD or the OS before that happened? Why is that an "Import" message and not an "Open" message? Is the file in the recycling bin? ...

Hello Jerry - welcome to the QCAD Forum. Thanks also for introducing yourself - interesting website. Howsoever - as always there are multiple possibility's to accomplish that task. Re: text issue

@Relic

I would check the file with the actual (3.21.2) QCAD Trial Version to see how it behaves. Use a separate directory for that test installation. A free trial can be found below: https://www.qcad.org/de/qcad-downloads-trial
