Re: Qcad GUI fonts

Hi Andy - welcome to the QCAD forum. Is there a way to scale the fonts and icons so I can keep the high resolution but have elements of the GUI large enough that I don't need magnifying glasses? Have you tried your luck with adjusting the settings below Application Preferences / Widgets like Toolbar...

Re: Join rectangles and dimensioning

Are we talking about the same function? I mark a symbol and can freely rotate it by clicking and holding a mouse button? Additionally by holding CTRL in adjustable steps like 15° steps? I'm talking about to have the same possibility in QCAD - I'm not talking about to have the same shortcuts or what...

Re: Printing Vector File

Hello Gary - welcome to the QCAD Forum. A dxf is a Vector file and that is printable directly out of QCAD. You can print it on paper, foil etc - but that depends on your printer. You are also able to save it in different formats like pdf's or svg's. If that is what you are looking for then you don't...

Re: Join rectangles and dimensioning

As well I have read that QCAD will get some missing useful functions like moving objects with the arrow keys ... Correct - comes with the next update. ... maybe we get as well a quick turning possibility straight after choosing a symbol? To late! Additional to the uncounted other turning to...

Re: How to limit edits to current layer?

So, is there a way to limit edits to a single, active layer only? That is selections and such will apply to the currently selected layer, while other layers are visible, entities can be snapped to, etc. but won't be affected by any changes? I'm sure that's me ... If I lock ALL Layer except the acti...

With this given information I would use the Round (RN) tool .... Center radius = 35 inside / outside measurements are known ø26/ø40 So, launch the Round Tool, the outside radius (1) for the pipe needs to be 35+20 (put this mathematical expression directly in the Radius field .... or search for your ...

Re: Join rectangles and dimensioning

Regarding trimming a union to make the wall corner look better I wanted to say I'm used to this from Autosketch, the question is how do I trim a union in QCAD, because I have not found a similar function yet. I don't know Autosketch but there are a few Trim Tools in QCAD - maybe you are looking for...
