thanks the link you gave to a FAQ provided the solution the path to fonts were not given by the normal installation of Qcad 2.2.2.0 Pro on an Ubuntiu Hardy heron box and had to be manually added.
All sorted now thanks for the QUICK heads up.

Hi,
New to Qcad but not CAD as such.
My problem is I cannot add text to a drawing. If I click the Text icon the selection box comes up but in the font drop down selector area there are no fonts to choose from.
Ideas as to what has gone wrong?
