Line thickness does not change
I know how to use different thickness for different layers. But in my case qcad does not respond to this change. As you can see in this image http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=8bdadc-1331341089.png , I am using different color and line thickness (0.5 mm, 1.0 mm, 2.0 mm) for the three layers ...

Looks like librecad http://librecad.org/cms/home.html with almost similar capabilities works better with unicode. I tested this feature.
Thanks anyway for your response.

Using Unicode keyboard in Qcad
Dear Qcad Experts, It looks like if I want to insert a unicode character in qcad text, I have got to insert one at a time from the drop down list after selecting the character set. Is there any chance that we can use the available keyboards (e.g. scim http://www.scim-im.org/ ) inside qcad? If I try ...

Move points along with scaled image
Dear All, Let us say that I have put two points on an imported image inside qcad. Then, I scale the image by some factor. If I use either of the points as the reference point, its position in the image remains unchanged. But the other point moves way off its original position on the image. How can I...

Your method looks very attractive and should have saved me from solving a system of trigonometric equations. However, it looks like I might be missing something here. The only option I find for area is, "Area of Polygon" (button with picture of a polygon in red). When I follow your instructions, aft...

Scale an image to certain dimension
Dear All, I can do this by trial and error. But I was wondering whether I can do this precisely using some automatic technique. I have imported an image (say png) inside qcad. I know that a certain edge in the image in 100 meters in actual dimension. What will be the best way to scale the image so t...

Thanks for your reply and hints. Once I get the whole polynomial area and divide it by three to the get individual area, it will mean putting this value in some form of equation to be solved. I was wondering whether this can be avoided by some automatic feature of qcad. Looks like it can not be. Any...

Divide a quadrilateral area into three equal portions
Dear All, I have a quadrilateral, not necessarily a rectangle or trapezium. I want to divide it into three equal portions with straight lines. I understand that there are a number of combinations which will satisfy the above requirement. However, for me, the two lines will divide one side of the qua...
