The new function "layer status" works pretty well but after saving and reloading the drawing the shortcuts y1, y2 ... are not available.
I cannot reproduce.
Can you please outline the steps?
E.g.
- File > Load, File > Close, File > Load
or
- File > Load, File > Reload, etc.

Re: Use measured value to create a new element

I won't add the measuring functions to dialogs for now, but you can switch those tool to a mode in which they use the options toolbar instead of a dialog (see application preferences). Measuring tools are currently not available in combo boxes, only line edits. This is work in progress.. Replacing s...

Re: Grab values from text boxes created by a .ui file

In this case, you're talking about the options toolbar at the top, not a dialog:

Code: Select all

var optionsToolBar = EAction.getOptionsToolBar();
var lengthEdit = optionsToolBar.findChild("Length");

Re: Grab values from text boxes created by a .ui file

Let's say your dialog widget is called "dialog":

Code: Select all

var lengthEdit = dialog.findChild("Length");

Re: drawing curve based on mathematical equation

As soon as you want the user to be able to input something (enter values, click coordinates, etc.) you're looking at an interactive script: https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-interactive-script-actions This is all ECMAScript (JavaScript) by the way, not C. No plans for Python (or Ruby, Haskell, LISP, etc.)

Re: Layer States

This feature is planned for the next release of QCAD.

You can already preview and use this feature in the current snapshot release (considered "unstable", not for production use) if you are interested. Snapshots are available from your download link under "Snapshots".

Re: Toolpath transfer to another drawing

I wouldn't recommend copying toolpaths between drawings. Toolpaths reference tools as well as the entities they were generated from. In a different drawing, these entities will likely have different IDs which breaks this connection.

Tal vez pueda instalar libQt5ScriptTools por separado desde algún lugar de su sistema o usar el que viene con QCAD.

Re: Command line tool scripts / Windows 10

Windows applications can only either provide a graphical user interface or command line output, not both. To see the output of a command line tool, please stream it to a file and then output the file: qcad -h 1>log 2>&1 type log The standard QCAD command line tools also do that in their batch file l...
