These layers are visible in layouts / print preview. Only not printed / exported to PDF. You can test this with a PDF export..

Re: Tool Matrix editable

You can add / remove tools from the tool matrix under
Edit > Application Preferences > Tool Settings

For example to remove the point tool, click on Draw > Point > Single Point and under Visibility uncheck Tool Matrix.

Re: Ctrl+W not closing QCAD tab

Could it be that you've (accidentally) installed the legacy package for older Linux distributions which uses Qt 4?
For Ubuntu 18, you should be able to use the regular Linux package instead.

Re: Reference lines

You might just want to make that layer not plottable (edit layer and uncheck plottable in layer dialog). This means it shows up on screen but never gets printed.

Please re-download the Linux package (you will get 3.21.2.1). There has been a deployment issue with this Linux package.

Re: QCAD Server Installation

Is QCAD compatible with CentOS 6.9? Very likely, yes. Please try to install the free trial version first: https://qcad.org/download It's quite possible that you have to install dependencies as well. You can check for unmet dependencies as follows: cd ~/opt/qcad-3.21.2-trial-linux-x86_64 LD_LIBRARY_...

Re: QCad dwg2svg Help?

Yes.. Windows batch is not straight forward in many cases. You'd have to Google for a solution of these problems (I'd have to do the same).

Re: upgrade to pro

In ACAD I could work in viewport and would change in model space. I assume with Qcad I cannot do this after playing around some? I'm not quite sure I understand your question.. You would usually change the model space and viewports are updated to reflect the changes. See also: https://qcad.org/en/t...

Re: upgrade to pro

Previously Installed Trial Version If you have previously installed a trial version, you may want to uninstall that first as this is no longer needed. - Under Windows, you can simply install the full version over the trial version using the downloaded MSI installer. - Under macOS, drag "QCAD.app" in...

Re: How to Debug JavaScript code in the QtCreator?

You can output states and variable values to stderr using qDebug("some string" + someVariable);

Use -enable-script-debugger to show the script debugger when an exception occurs of when the debugger; statement is used in your code.

Re: QCad dwg2svg Help?

I understand this may be outside the scope for Qcad, but it directly involves your software, and is my need as your potential customer :) Yes.. we get a lot of "please fix my printer / e-mail / Internet connection" type of requests because we tend to answer... I appreciate you taking the time to he...

Re: SSL warnings

Yes, you are right. The current Linux version had to be re-deployed into 3.21.2.1. I've added version checks for this version. Sorry about that.

Re: SSL warnings

Starting QCAD 3.21.2.1 on Debian 9 from console shows: You are using a snapshot or self-compiled version of QCAD. Update checks are only supported for releases (e.g. 3.21.2 or 3.21.2.0). I don't think the SSL stuff matters, as we use http for the check (for exactly the reason that SSL is not straig...
