Re: How to create page title block in viewport

I'll walk you through the first layout block. Please follow these instructions very carefully, step by step: 1. Block > Add Layout Block 2. Enter a name 3. OK -> You should now have created a new layout block successfully. It should show up in the block list under the name you've chosen. Let's add a...

Re: Cant get layout to show so I can print

I cannot reproduce this problem here. How do you go about adding a new layout block? Did you follow https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-working-with-layout-blocks-and-viewports#Creating_Layouts and the user manual it refers to, so Block > Add Layout Block ? I did the viewport, yet it only allows me 2 viewp...

Re: How to create page title block in viewport

Again, the tutorial should have you covered:

I.e. you'd typically add your border to the layout block.

I'm using the QCAD release named qcad-3.21.3-pro-osx-10.10-10.13.dmg
Is there any newer release?
No - same package here.

Re: Dark Mode in macOS Mojave

Strangely that's not the case here. Looks like it's trying to switch parts of the UI to dark on your system. Which exact package (DMG file name) did you install?

Re: Dark Mode in macOS Mojave

I cannot reproduce this problem here.

QCAD looks exactly the same in light or dark mode (apart from the menus).

Can you include steps to reproduce, screenshots, etc.?

Re: Cant get layout to show so I can print

You could create a new layout for each part of the drawing you want to print separately (see Tutorial: Working with Layout Blocks and Viewports -> Creating Layouts ). You'd then create one viewport per layout which displays the part you want to print for that layout. You might want to have a look at...

Re: Why I can't use / or " in block/layer names?

Unfortunately, these are limitations imposed by the DXF/DWG file format, not QCAD. ¼ should work though.

Re: Drill plunge passes

- Double-click on tool 2 in the CAM Tools list
- Change the tool type from Mill to Drill
- Regenerate the toolpaths and re-export the file

A mill behaves differently than a drill when used for the drill toolpath.

Re: how to get line number in lxcnc postprocessor

You'd have to create your own post processor, e.g. "MyLxcncIn.js" and add the number ([N]) to the front of each g-code line. For example: include("LxcncIn.js"); function MyLxcncIn(documentInterface, camDocumentInterface) { LxcncIn.call(this, documentInterface, camDocumentInterface); this.header = [ ...

Re: Drill plunge passes

I got the impression that passes would come up a little to clear the drill flutes to avoid binding.
Yes, that's the idea.

Please attach the DXF and G-Code file if you cannot solve the problem.
