Re: Signals and Slots in ECMAScript

Example: var le = new QLineEdit(); ... // call this.validate() on text changes: le.textChanged.connect(this, "validate"); // call an inline function on text changes: le.textChanged.connect(this, function(text) { qDebug("text is now: " + text); }); See also: http://doc.qt.io/archives/qt-4.8/scripting...

Signals and Slots in ECMAScript

From a QCAD user:
How can I use signals and slots in QCAD scripts, for example to detect if the text in a line edit has changed?

Re: checking if two polygons touch each other

You can find the intersection points between two polylines using getIntersectionPoints: var pl1 = new RPolyline(); pl1.setVertices([new RVector(0,0), new RVector(100,0), new RVector(100,100)]); var pl2 = pl1.copy(); pl2.move(new RVector(10,10)); var ips = pl1.getIntersectionPoints(pl2); qDebug(ips);...

Re: Rotate until intersection with circle / given distance to point

Circles are never 100% accurate.

You can adjust the arc precision under
Edit > Application Preferences > Graphics View > Appearance > Minimum angle step for rendering arcs

The tradeoff to display precision is performance. Definitely not a bug though.

Re: Rotate until intersection with circle / given distance to point

Based on the screenshots I'd assume the center of rotation is the lower end point of the blue curve. Just a guess.

Re: Rotate until intersection with circle / given distance to point

Create a circle with center at lower end of blue curve (or whatever the center of rotation is) and its circle line through the upper end of blue curve. The intersection between that circle and the yellow circle is your target point for the upper end of the blue curve (use Modify > Align Reference Po...

Just wondering if - for rotating back - I again have to select the necessary reference points or if there is some kind of functionality/shorthand like "rotate back", which automatically undos the last rotation?
No, undo would also undo your bounding box and point.

Re: Global maxima / max. distance between two entities

Is there maybe some functionality in QCAD Pro to to rotate something the same angle it was rotated before, just in the opposite direction? (without manually writing the angle down and entering it again). Again, have a look at Modify > Align Reference Points . This tool does not require you to enter...

Re: Global maxima / max. distance between two entities

1. Rotate the curve and yellow line into a normal position (e.g. using Modify > Align Reference Points without scaling). The yellow line should be in a horizontal position. 2. Select the curve. 3. Misc > Draw > Draw Bounding Box 4. You should be able to find the desired point now as intersection poi...

If you wish to dimension coordinates (X/Y), you might be looking for ordinate dimensions: http://qcad.org/doc/qcad/latest/reference/en/index.php?page=scripts/Draw/Dimension/DimOrdinate/doc/DimOrdinate Si vous souhaitez dimensionner les coordonnées (X/Y), il se peut que vous recherchiez des dimension...

Re: Script, basic concepts math spiral

If you want to produce a polyline instead, you can use the following approach:

Code: Select all

var vertices = [];
for (...) {
    vertices.push([x, y]);
}
addPolyline(vertices);

Re: Script, basic concepts math spiral

var lineData = new RLineData(new RVector(Math.pow(x, 2))); RLineData needs two RVector arguments (start and end point). RVector needs two number arguments (x and y). var lineData = new RLineData(new RVector(someXValue, someYValue), new RVector(Math.pow(x, 2), y)); Where someXValue, someYValue are y...

Re: Electronic schematics?

I found where the default and templates folders were in the QCAD program. I put the Electronics folder in Both of these folders along with the misc. This is not the recommended way. If you update QCAD, you will have to do it all over again... If you change your library, you might even lose those ch...

Re: Electronic schematics?

I have a Mac and your instructions as to telling QCAD where the folder is located is for a Windows PC The instructions are for any operating system but were actually made on a Mac (as you can see if you closely look at the screenshots). Where do I put the folder for QCAD to find it on a Mac? Anywhe...
