Re: Splitting polylines into parts with equal length

Confirmed. You can convert logically closed polylines to open ones using Draw > Polylines > Logically Open Polylines, then split.

Re: Mauszeiger in Version 3.21.2.0

Bei jeder Support-Anfrage gibt es zu beachten: - verwendetes Betriebssystem und dessen Version angeben - genaue Version von QCAD angeben (Hilfe > Über QCAD oder QCAD > Über QCAD) - QCAD Edition angeben (QCAD Professional, QCAD Demo-Version, QCAD Community Edition) - relevante (Zeichnungs-)dateien (D...

Re: Pocketing letters

If I switch to single line as the approach for the letters and only do pocketing on the symbols, can QCAD CAM generate G-Code to manage deeper engraving to widen and narrow the letters at certain spots so it looks like a specific font? No. Single line glyphs are by definition rendered with a single...

Re: Compile qcad to get full features and an error while compiling.

Nothing wrong with that. You can indeed get the free QCAD Community Edition by compiling the sources. Or you can download the free trial versions and remove the QCAD Professional plugins.

Re: qcadcam wont start ny more

Please have a look at: https://www.qcad.org/en/component/content/article/78-qcad/142-qcad-installation-linux -> Making the Downloaded File Executable There are some preferences under Linux that might prevent you from running executables with a double-click. You can also use a terminal to run QCAD wh...

Re: Dimensioning

So let's say you start the dimension tool for horizontal dimensions: 1. Dimension > Horizontal 2. You then click a point, let's say somewhere at the left of the bolt: Screen Shot 2018-09-14 at 13.16.16.png 3. And then a point somewhere at the right: Screen Shot 2018-09-14 at 13.17.36.png Now comes t...

Re: [solved] Lost files..........again.

I'm 99% sure this is all due to # and a misbehaving application or file system (not QCAD). Marked as solved.

Re: Lost files..........again.

Again, I'd strongly advise to not use "#" in file names. This could cause all kinds of problems in many applications, including the file manager.

Re: Dimensioning

Most likely, QCAD simply cannot find any position to snap to due to your snap settings. 1. Switch off the isometric grid: Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Grid > Viewport 1: uncheck "Isometric Grid" and check "Display Grid" Screen Shot 2018-09-14 at 09.20.35.png 2. Check your auto snap setting...

Re: Lost files..........again.

I would strongly advise against using special characters in file names (such as #, /, \, *, ...). - Have a look if that file is actually in folder "My Drawings". If so, rename it and remove the # If not, the problem is not related to QCAD at all but a file management issue (accidentally moved, delet...

Re: Copy selection with toolpath

You cannot copy generated toolpaths. Every toolpath is based on a set of original drawing entities.

Note that you can select multiple contours and create one single toolpath from them. QCAD/CAM will then process each contour separately.
