Re: angular dimensioning greater than 180°

Option Bar (Label, Tolerance, Scale)? I'm sure that is something for later on your list, correct? Yes, fixed, thanks. BTW? 8) Could your tool modification also be helpful to cover this problem? https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4956&p=18291#p18291 No, I would work with an au...

Re: rectangle cutting inside

QCAD/CAM starts the toolpath at the start point of the polyline. If this is a corner of an inside profile and a lead in/out is used, there is no possible toolpath without cutting into the workpiece (left side). To create a meaningful toolpath, the start point has to be chosen to be somewhere in the ...

Re: Change in Parallel with Distance

You can simply type a new distance while using this tool (even if the distance input field does not have the keyboard focus).

Re: angular dimensioning greater than 180°

I've actually experimented with this and added preliminary support for angular dimensions from three points, so angle dimensions for angles > 180° should be supported in the next release unless there are unexpected problems with it.

Re: Hatch issue - 2 (related?) questions

Second time around, you select the rectangle and the hatch and then try to create a new hatch with as boundary the rectangle and the hatch. This does not work as a hatch cannot be a boundary for another hatch. To edit the hatch: - click the hatch to select it and use the property editor ( View > Pro...

Re: Defpoints layer

This should be working now. We had a problem with accidentally deleted posts a while back and it turns out these were not properly restored.

Re: custom attributes

Oh thanks, the x and y coordinates of the points of the polyline being available, I thought that the calculation of min and max was not a big issue, but OK. It's not. The bounding box is just not something a user is typically interested in. Is the pro version required to use what you call the scrip...

Re: Impossible to navigate by keyboard in some widgets

I can confirm. Navigating with arrows is not possible due to arrows being used for moving the selection / panning. This could probably be implemented by respecting widget focus, although that might be frustrating since you'd always have to check for widget focus before panning.. Navigating by typing...

Re: custom attributes

In addition to the area attribute of the polyline I would also need xmax, xmin, ymax and ymin. Is is possible to define custom attributes for these informations ? May be I need the pro version to do that. Not without changing C++ code. Additionaly, is it possible to extract a list of all polylines ...

Re: angular dimensioning greater than 180°

The problem is that the angular dimension based on two lines is defined that way in the DXF/DWG standard (always dimensioning the smallest angle between the two lines). QCAD cannot interpret this differently without braking compatibility. The only way to support this is to support another type of en...

Re: Scripting - Autozoom, Print to Scale as PDF

The error doesn't occur on printing PDFs, only on printing, which is why I think I've got a printer calibration problem somewhere - I'd not at all be surprised if it's a local issue and not reproduce-able. Yes, I cannot reproduce this here. -landscape seems to work just fine for both PDF output and...

Re: angular dimensioning greater than 180°

I can confirm that this is currently not possible. It would require another entity type currently not supported by QCAD (angular dimension from 3 points).

Re: Scripting - Autozoom, Print to Scale as PDF

Is there any way to open a snapshot release without the trial-only mode? Yes, sure. I'll send you a link to the full version snapshots via private message. I'm assuming there's no way to run the utility silently? Currently, we're planning to execute it via a .bat; @echo off doesn't seem to do much ...
