After some experimenting: it only happens when opening files for the first time from the open recent file list. The open file dialog shows the mapped drives, once you open a file from this dialog, you can also use it from the open recent file list.
weird....

It looks like this is a very old bug that has not been dealt with.
I would appreciate fixing this bug.
Thanks.
Frank.

Pity, I need these to transfer designs to paper and then to wood, using the points as centers for handdrilling.
I would appreciate if you were able to fix this.

printing points
Hi, I have a drawing with a few points mainly to indicate the center of a circle. Drawing and application preferences are mode 2 (a plus sign) and size -10. Now I can't seem to print the plus signs! It always reverts to a dot, whatever the drawing and application settings. Any help? Also: on opening...

How do I close an open spline?
How do I close an open spline in a 'spline-like'way?
Several 2D drawing programs offer the feature to close splines either with a line or a spline.
Thanks,
Frank

Re: Rulers
I finally managed to put the finger on a possible cause of this behavior. If I disable 'Automatically scale meta grid' under App Prefs\Graph View\Grid, the rulers disappear at zooms larger than 100<0 and the have gone in all zooms. If I then enable 'Automatically scale meta grid', things are back to...

Re: Dimension length
But....I do not want to edit the text/label, but the length/measurement itself. Enter a value and the dimension changes to this new value. Please consider the following simple drawing: Screen Shot 2014-05-20 at 22.58.24.png Let's say the user changes the measurement of the dimension from 20 to 25 u...

Re: Dimension length
Hi Frank, Excellent, I would also like to be able to edit the length to enter exact dimensions from older paperdrawings. You are already able to overwrite a dimension value in the Property editor. Just select the dimension, go to the property editor and put the desired value in the "Label" Field. H...

Well. It didn't work going from 347 to 350. Not just rulers, but colors are different too.

[solved] QCAD3.INI
There's a new release 3.5.1: can I safely use the current 3.4.7 Qcad.ini file without having to generate a new ini file? (and manually make all personal settings to the ini file )
Thanks,
Frank
