Snap

I am recommended to snap to grid in the foreword. After a few drawings, I find this generally very helpful. However, I seem to run into problem with setting the grid. I understand there are two lots of preferences and have been using the edit one. I seem to be stuck with a 1mm grid even though reque...

Why can't I thicken lines?

I am not in draft mode.
I can change the colour and line type but not the width.

Updates

I have been running 2.2.2.0 on mac G5 with OS 10.5.8.

Lately I have been having problems with crashes and block editing. To be honest, I have only managed to produce a few drawings since starting. Am I or my computer or OS past it?

Re: iBook

If I can download that, it will suit me fine sitting on the balcony in sunny France and getting bored. My needs for the current drawing are minimal.
How do I download earlier versions? I have looked.
Do you work 24 hours a day? Fantastic support.

Re: Printing drawings

Thanks (again!).

After the first few words of your guidance, I remembered.

My version of QCAD is older than that in the example but the principle is the same.

Printing drawings

I have worked out how to do this once but have forgotten.
I have a two layer drawing where the base layer is a template to print on A4.
I need to scale another layer carrying the subject drawing so that it fills the page.

Dimensioning

Suddenly, the dimension tools have stopped working.

E.g. - straight horizontal line, when I click on the end points, a rectangle is created.
What am I doing wrong? It has worked perfectly up to now and stored drawings can have dimensions added in the expected fashion.
Have I changed a setting?
