FS#1337 - Alternate units for dimensions Qcad v3.18.0 on Win7 Pro The above subject relates to the above request. This request is to display two dimensions in the dimension label such as inches and millimeters. This might be done in the label part of the dimension. We currently use <> to place the d...

Re: Old dog, new tricks
@ Clive, thanks for your concern about free tools. Your logic would indicate that the "QCAD Book" should also not cover these specific tools, since the book is sold for a profit. Both the Book and my Training Videos only benefit those who already have license to use the tools. Writing of Books and c...

Mouse Status for Intersect Manual Tool
Win7, Qcad V3.4.6 It appears that the left side mouse status is not updated correctly. After selecting the first intersection point, the status does not change to "select 2nd-point".

autosave file error
Win7, QCAD V3.4.6 Get this error while using that file. I could suspect that folder security issues are a reason, but are there any other circumstances that would produce this error? Notice that when I copy the file to a new location, the errors stop.

autosave file location
Win7, Qcad V3.4.6 - I can find a fix FS#424 of 8Dec2011 but it does not describe the folder choice. The program Help and the Book do not mention this topic. So, what folder are the autosave files stored in with this version? Thanks

Re: Old dog, new tricks
I have just finished a free 28-minute "QuickStart with QCAD" training video that will get the new QCAD user comfortable with using QCAD. Within the next few days, I hope to have it available on-line. Later in mid June 2014 there will be a 6-hour Training Video with about 30 lessons and it will be na...

Old dog, new tricks
Hi there. My last QCAD use was back in 2008, using V2.2.1. I developed the LearnQcad training video (6hrs) using version 2.2.2. Now I am back to learn QCAD V3.4 and totally redo the training videos and make them much better. So I am basically a newbie to V3.4.6, although I have finished Lessons 1-15...

Re: Set Folder Locations
@Clive - In summary then, the "Open" and "Save As" are both independent of each other. They both remember the last folder you used them with. So I guess my question "can you change the default <Open> folder" is moot since it is always changed to the last folder used. Thanks

Re: Set Folder Locations
@Clive Thanks for your help. I am still confused because of the following: "Save As" -> c:\users\lynn "Open" -> c:\Program Files (X86)\QCAD\examples this is because I previously opened the flange file for printing. "Open Recent" -> List of various folder locations How do I change the "Open" default ...

Re: Stacked super/sub-scripts
A little aggravated since the forum software just logged me out while editing this reply, then when I logged back in, all my reply was lost. Short version reply: Thanks for clearing that up. I was under the wrong impression that the Text Tool Window, Rich Text display, is a true replica of what will...

Re: Stacked super/sub-scripts
Thanks, I didn't think of using the property editor to edit existing dimension labels. I forgot to mention that I would also like to do this using the text tool.

Print preview scale text box
Win7, QCAD V3.4.6 It would be nice to view the left most digits instead of the right most digits when the digits exceed the text box length.

Help file for <Index> set focus to text box
Win7, QCAD V3.4.6 It would be helpful if the text focus was set for the text box when selecting "Index" in the help file.
