Inconsistent line termination between Linux and DOS

I have a CAM program that refuses to read dxf files created by QCad on Linux. I was able to correct the issue by running "dos2unix --u2d" on the Linux-created file to change the line endings from <LF> to <CR><LF> for DOS. Since DXF was originally created in the DOS world, I guess that the "correct" ...

I am having the exact problems as kbrande1 -- any drawing using custom print sizes come out blank -- pdf or otherwise. One source of confusion is that the units on the Custom Drawing Size dialog is mm regardless of whether I am using english or metric. It turns out that I need to enter the drawing s...

Ok, I think I have narrowed it down to this. I have my drawing preferences set to a Letter/Landscape paper size. Letter/portrait works great. Letter/Landscape prints nothing. A4/portrait works great. A4/Landscape nothing. So the problem appears to be printing in landscape mode -- unfortunate because...

Hello Andrew,
The swiss_map.dxf opens and prints out well, but my image still does not. If you would like I can send you my image file and/or the .dxf file for you to look at.

Thanks,
Lester

I am having the same problem -- inserted images are not printed at all. They show up fine in the Print Preview, but nothing on the print out. I have tried png, jpg, bmp, and gif file formats verifying each with GIMP using several printers including PDF. I am running QCAD 2.2.2.0 under Linux. Please,...

Thanks, That worked great! It might be nice to have some selection boxes in the Print Preview toolbar to select the paper and orientation along with the scale and other stuff. That way one could configure everything about printing in one shot.

Thanks again

Just purchased QCad, it will not print landscape

I have been trying out the demo version of QCad for a few days and finally decided to purchase. Great product but when I go to print, the paper format is set to Orientation: Portrait, Size: A4. I want Tabloid (11x17), landscape. Nothing I do seems to affect the appearance of the Print Preview, and n...

Please support Windows Metafile export

Please support Windows Metafile format for export. OpenOffice's dxf import is not so good. However, OpenOffice apparently uses WMF as its "native" format. My company has had good luck using exporting WMF's from AutoCad in OpenOffice product documentation. This functionality would definitely help us ...

Please support architectural coordinate entry

I am considering using QCad for some house plans and apparently it does not support architectural coordinate entry (e.g. 12' 4 1/2,10' 5 5/8). I am able to get reasonable results by using a little math (e.g. 12*12+4+1/2,10*12+5+5/8) but this is very inconvenient! Google SketchUp would be an excellen...
