OK Andrew, I'll follow your advice. I'll go on working like that.
Thank you, and a sample is always welcome

Hello everyone, I made a drawing with Affinity Designer, but the problem with AD is that it's not possible to do measurement, and that is possible with QCAD. Therefor I'm switching over to QCad for that kind of drawings. This is made with AD: Screenshot 2022-02-23 at 13.58.50.png First question: is ...

see my drawing. You see the roof, made out of 6 lines. I want the roof filled with a colour (green for example). Is that possible?
Same with the vertical 'square'.
How can I do that?
Please help.
Many thanks!
Luc

Re: size of measurement (figure)
Thank you Husky
My screen picture is different to yours. Is it because of the fact that I'm still in the 'test' phase?
And how can I change 'units' to mm?
One I have this sort out, I'll buy the program, I like it very much.
Where can I find the best tutorials? Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Luc

[solved] how to insert (?) the 'command block' into the same window of the drawing
Hello, I’m new concerning QCAD and I have a few questions. I’m still trying the free version. I intend to buy the program but first please answer my questions: The download I have is in Dutch (I live in Belgium), which is fine but when I search for YouTube videos they are all in English. It’s diffic...

Re: Cutting out a rectangle
Thank you Clive.
Seen the small quantity needed per week, it has no sense to invent something expensive. I think that 4 cheap lasers will help to decrease the time for setting up the sizes.
Regards,
Luc

Re: Cutting out a rectangle
I don't know. A simple laser from Bosch costs 53 euro (http://www.bosch-quigo.com/gb/en/product/the+quigo.html) 2 are installed fix (the zero x and zero y) 2 others are movable (on a rail above the table). Let's say that on the table there is a ruler. You must be able to position the movable laser t...

Re: Cutting out a rectangle
Common sense won. Back to where we were. Let's say you have to cut 30 pieces per week and you want to cut them all on one day, but you have different sizes. Pointing out the sizes takes most of the time. Cutting goes quick. I was thinking, can one work with 4 laser beams that project 4 lines on the ...

Re: Cutting out a rectangle
Tomorrow I have a meeting with my boss concerning his proposal to cut fabric by CNC. I am convinced that it is a bad idea because the quantity to be made per week is very low. As Husky said: one have to start a cost-benefit analysis. That is always the first thing one has to do. I'll ask him how man...
