I knew that. the problem was that the ISO A4 template or library parts have fixed sizes, so, you cannot draw something very big or very small in "real word dimensions" and use one of the templates or library parts as well.

obvious; because some parts just appear too small on the drawing! imagine drawing a tiny part, 5 by 2 millimeters on a standard iso A4 template.

How can I scale the dimensions?

I am using community version 2.0.5.0 from Debian on a Linux machine. Very often I want to draw a small piece with a scale factor. for instance, a 40 mm object twice as big. then, the problem is that when I put dimensions, it shows 80, which is obviously correct on the drawing, but not in reality. distance measurement not working!

I am using qcad 2.0.5.0 (community ed.) from Debian. when I try to measure the distance on my drawing (point to point, etc.) nothing appears in the command line after choosing the second point ! it just prompts for the first point again! any idea? :evil:
