Selecting objects laying above each other
Hi, I have a question about selecting objects. How can I choose one of the items that are stacked on top of each other? For instance, I have a block, and I want to hatch it. I draw a rectangle around it, intending to select that rectangle to apply the hatch. However, Qcad continues to select the blo...

QCAD is also a digital currency
Hi Guys, I just googled "qcad" and I got the site referring to the launch of a new digital currency in Canada. Quite funny- to see your name used for something totally different. Don't you bother? Can it affect QCAD (drawing software) in the future? Just a question, it's not my business but personal...

Any issues after upgrade to MacOs Ventura?
Hi guys,
Iam wondering. Are there any issues after the upgrade to MacOs Ventura? Is Qcad still working smoothly, or are there any problems? Can you let me know before I upgrade? Thank you.
Regards
Radek

x-ref support
As someone who uses this a lot, I would like to see the x-ref support. Also, one of my clients requires use of x-refs.

Re: Drawing slow and Qcad crashing
Hi Andrew, When I explode the block, the drawing gets 149MB big. Funny thing is. I used to work with Qcad with MUCH bigger drawings (big data center approx 2 years ago) and it worked well. So I was just wondering if there is anything wrong with the newest version. I also use Bricscad BIM but that on...

Drawing slow and Qcad crashing
Hi, I have a question. My cad runs VERY slow. It takes ages to select the viewport (VT) for example. I work on: MacBook Pro16,1, 6-Core Intel Core i7 2,6 GHz, 6 core, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4. I edited the drawing (and saved it as v3). This one is 3,1 MB so not shocking. But still, it doesn't work smooth...

[solved] Change properties of all layers in 1x
Hi, I have a question. How can I change properties of all layers in 1x? When I select all layers and click I can change only one (the one I click on). Is there any way how to do it? I just needed to change all colours in existing drawing into black. It's not easy when you have drawing with 80 layers...

Re: Rectangles & hatch
I see, I was nog not clear enough. What I mean is that you see directly which pattern you can select. Without selecting a pattern. So without selection. You can compare it with Word where the font types appear directly next to the name of the font. So you can directly seen how a font looks like. Or ...

Re: Rectangles & hatch
Thank, it helps. But talking about hatches. There is one more thing. I think you can help me. Is it possible to see the hatch-patterns during the selection of the hatch-pattern? I am not such a CAD-guru who knows how ANS31/ HEX/ AR-HBONE does look like. It would be helpful to have a little window sh...

Re: Colour text dimension changes
Can you try setting it to "White" instead? It will still be displayed as white in model space and black when printing. yes- white helps! Thank you The color "Black" seems to be skipped by the OpenDesign libraries on saving. It's then reversed to the default color (a dark blue) on the next loading. ...
