That's fair enough, and explains why there's no option to change the size.
Does the fact that it changes size when I change the other toolbar's size indicate a bug?

How to set the size of the options toolbar
Hi Running version 3.15.5 on OS X I'm having problems setting the size of the options toolbar. I can't see an option to change it directly, but if I change the size of the toolbar icons, the options toolbar also changes and becomes smaller. However, when I restart qCAD, the options toolbar reverts t...

Re: Block references and layers
Hi Andrew
Thanks for the excellent explanation, it makes a lot more sense now and I have organised my drawing appropriately.
Cheers

Block references and layers
Running QCAD 3.7.1 on OS X 10.10.1. I have a drawing in which I have inserted several block references, some from library objects that I created and some local to the drawing. I created everything on layer 0 initially and selected several entities and moved them to different layers. The items that a...

Re: Performance problems with hatching
Please find one of the library objects attached. Inserting that object into a new drawing slows down QCAD to a crawl.

Performance problems with hatching
I'm using QCAD 3.7.1 Pro on Mac OS X 10.10 and I am having some performance problems with a simple drawing. My drawing comprises a rectangle and an outline of 5 lines and a curve. Both are hatched with ANSI36 with a scale of 10. I save both objects as blocks in the library and created a new drawing ...

Re: can QCAD 3 support global meun on ubuntu
I've been meaning to upgrade from 3.0 for a while and I'm glad that I did. The 64 bit build makes life a lot easier on a 64 bit Linux installation. It works with the distribution's Qt libraries and gets my default theme. I still haven't worked out how to get the global menus to work in Unity, althou...

Re: can QCAD 3 support global meun on ubuntu
I'd also like support for the global menu on Ubuntu with Unity. Doing some digging, it seems that the problem may be due to the appmenu-qt package not supporting multi-arch as reported in bug 1001621 in Launchpad. A solution may be to provide a 64 bit build of QCAD for Linux, which would be benefici...

Optional drawing tabs
Hi
I'd like to suggest hiding the tabs above the drawing window in the case where only a single drawing is open. The tabs take up a fair amount of vertical space.
Thanks
Rick

Move the reference point for a library item
I have created a drawing that I want to add to a library but I need to move the reference point. If I create a block, I get the option to move it, but I can't add a drawing to a library that contains a block.
How do I move the reference point?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I got sidetracked and haven't had time to look at QCAD for a while. I reinstalled the trial version and the assistant still looks very poor with no anti-aliased fonts, wrong toolbars etc. Selecting help from QCAD shows it uses Qt 4.4.1 and selecting help from th...
