Re: Changing internal name when editing templates

A few template files contain an internal title which is stored as a property in the file. You must have copied one of those. To remove the property, proceed as follows: - Load your library item file. - Misc > Development > Script Shell - Copy this line into the script shell input field (to the right...

Re: Thanks and 'Morphing' question

Playing around with the morphing tool I found out that not only the direction of the polyline is important but also the start point. Is there an easy rule of thumb how to control the outcome regarding the start point? Both start point and direction are discussed in this tutorial: https://qcad.org/e...

Re: Property Editor needs additional trigger ...?

It's a performance issue. Computing these properties is relatively slow, so selection of many / complex polylines can stall for a few seconds.

Preference under:
Application Preferences > Widgets > Property Editor > Always show all properties (this may slow down selection of entities)

Re: QCAD PRO trial version

From the download page https://qcad.org/en/download:

"The trial runs 15min at a time and can then be restarted."

You can restart for 100 times, which should be enough time to decide whether to buy the full version. This limit is mainly to make sure the trial is not used in a production environment.

Re: Doing layer changes in one operation

Delete layer "layer 1" and make layer "layer 3" the current layer: var document=getDocument(); var documentInterface=getDocumentInterface(); var op = new RAddObjectsOperation(); op.deleteObject(document.queryLayer("layer 1")); var docVars = document.queryDocumentVariables(); docVars.setCurrentLayerI...

Re: Thanks and 'Morphing' question

Morphing was mainly implemented for a project I was working on, but it might be useful for other, completely different use cases as well. Often it's an alternative to the offset tool, when the space between two different closed shapes has to be filled with other closed shapes. Let's say, we want to ...

Re: Detect layer changes

I've updated the transaction listener example to show information about created / deleted objects: https://github.com/qcad/qcad/blob/master/scripts/Misc/Examples/ListenerExamples/ExTransactionListener/ExTransactionListener.js You can check if an object is a layer using isLayer(obj). For the current ...

I also find this feature useful. What does it mean? that it will be supported in new versions? or someone can make a plugin for that?
It's part of the next release.
