I would probably use the Library functionality in QCAD.
Select, type BT, chose reference point, name and save it, done.

Just for clarification:
You have two basic coordinate systems. Absolute and relative. The use or not use of the @ (or what ever your setting is) will determine which coordinate system is used.


Undo will work too but you have to exit first the current used tool.

Infinitive lines in blocks are displayed shortened in Model_Space. I would consider that a bug which pertains the QCAD Pro version too.
