Re: Autoselected draw items

Ok. Still, is there a good reason to have no default option? Is there a good reason for you to stick to the CAD Tools menu even when you don't like it? BTW: You are talking about to have the possibility of a default option to your favorite tool. Isn't a used shortcut a "default option"? Isn't a cli...

Re: Pattern takes long to process

20 contours à 5 passes took ~7 minutes to process. Is this normal? This is with offset. A full grille pattern would be hours! Without seeing the actual drawing there is no way to tell you what is a normal process time and what not. Many passes due to weak machine. QCAD takes a very long time to fin...

Re: 3 point arc showing up far away from where it should be

I've still no luck to reproduce it!
Please post the drawing or an example drawing where I can reproduce the described issue. I don't need the bitmaps in the drawing. Thanks.

Re: 3 point arc showing up far away from where it should be

Is your grid on and you can snap to the grid? If yes what happens if you turn it off?

Re: 3 point arc showing up far away from where it should be

It took me a while to reproduce it e_surprised but I guess I got it. Puh! First things first: I'm not sure what for you need the points - it would work without them too. Maybe you have a reason for that. Howsoever: ... so the three points I have selected are the points I want to use to make the arc,...

Re: 3 point arc showing up far away from where it should be

Hi, welcome to the QCAD forum.

I see on the screenshot an arc. Without knowing what you tried to accomplish I can't see something wrong with it ...

Please elaborate your goal for this arc. If possible attache the drawing. Thanks.

Re: Left select issues

Good morning, 1) Left select a dimension that the selection box touches/intersects a part of that dimension line will select that dimension. Left select that dimension BUT do not intersect a dimension line.... nothing selected. Thanks - reproducible. I tested it with a 35 mm "Extension line Offset"....

Re: [Solved] Interface issue in version 3.24.2 on Windows

Looks better and better. On Win10 ... I arranged the GUI with the default theme. Changed it to dark and it looks like switching will affect the space management of the toolbars too. Not the big deal but secretly tools will disappear because they are now collapsed and the usual used arrow to e...

Re: Feet and Inches in the Property Editor

One way to work around this could be to display (and input) values in the property editor as 3'4" instead. Or for example 4'10 1/4". We could use some input from users of this unit system to decide a way forward. I think 3'4" or 4'10 1/4" is unambiguously to read. An input in this style would be ea...

Re: Laggy interface on macOS

So hatches appear to be a bad idea in QCAD - don't use them, or suffer lag. :( Well - use a hatch as intended and you don't suffer lag! You used a hatch with a scale factor of 1. That means QCAD had to build a hatch in your case with 1,201,880 entities . Every application slows down when it has to ...
