Good day:
I am brand spanking new to QCAD and am trying to make some simple label plaques with a minature desktop CNC mill. I've compiled QCAD CE 3.31.2.1 on Linux and am able to draw the text I want quite easily. Following https://www.qcad.org/doc/qcadcam/QCADCA ... ial_en.pdf shows a menu I do not have on "Choosing a Configuration" step 1. If I'm reading https://www.qcad.org/en/faq properly that requires "QCAD/CAM" which is a paid add-on, correct?
I see that the plugin is a one-time cost and not a subscription which is nice. How is that distributed/packaged? I'm currently compiling QCAD to fit my environment from source, and I like the future-proofing that brings. Is the plugin compatible with that or would I need to switch to a binary distribution? Does it require internet access?
Forgive me if this is answered in the docs and I missed it, I don't see it in the faqs / online-shop page.
Exporting GCode: Requires the CAM plugin?

Re: Exporting GCode: Requires the CAM plugin?
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in QCAD/CAM.
Yes, QCAD/CAM is QCAD + the QCAD Professional add-on + the CAM add-on. These add-ons are proprietary and come as precompiled packages.
You can download a free trial version as installer or tar.gz at:
https://qcad.org/en/download
-> QCAD/CAM Trial
