Good for landscape design?

Do you have a question you want to ask an existing QCAD user about QCAD and what you can do with it? Do you want to know if a particular feature exists? This is the place to ask.

Good for landscape design?

Post by JGOLDMAN58 » Sat Jan 09, 2021 5:11 pm

Hi everybody,

I was using Sketchup for years as my 2D landscape design software. That is, until I got a new computer and was no longer able to use my old version of Sketchup. Trimble's new pricing policy is prohibitive, especially as I am in semi-retirement mode. That said, would QCAD be a good alternative for down-and-dirty 2D plan view landscape designs? Does it offer a library of landscape symbols such as trees and such?

Thanks in advance.

You can use any DXF/DWG or SVG symbol library with QCAD.

Please refer also to our part library tutorial about finding parts and using the library:
