Dimensioning

Do you have a question you want to ask an existing QCAD user about QCAD and what you can do with it? Do you want to know if a particular feature exists? This is the place to ask.

Dimensioning

Post by Dave Rowley » Thu Dec 02, 2021 9:35 pm

Hi
I hope someone can help me please. I have had 20 years + experience with Autodesk, but want to move over to QCad, but it's a little different in many ways, and before I buy I'd like to sort out a few little niggles.
One of which is a problem I'm having with dimensioning, I can see how to change the dimension text height and arrow sizes etc. but how do you set up various different dimension parameters, as clearly, on one drawing, you will need dimensions with various text heights and arrow lengths to suit the size of each particular printed sheet, A4 needs a smaller text height than A1.
Can someone advise please

You can adjust the overall scale of selected dimension entities to scale all visual properties of the dimension by a given factor:

View > Property Editor
Select dimension(s)
Change property Overall scale
