Trial version

Good afternoon, I have the trial version and am very happy with it. I want to progress to the full version. Can you please advise if the trial is limited in terms of files it can open? I have several dgn files which will not open with the trial version. Many thanks

Hi,

after doing a few dgn file test with the current QCAD version (Pro and Trial) I've the feeling there is something not working as expected. Please indicate your operation system, the used Trial QCAD version and if possible post a sample dgn file which can't be currently be loaded in your Trial QCAD version. Thanks.

Note that only DGN v8 files are supported by QCAD. Please attach the file(s) in question.

zdaril, hi and welcome to the QCAD forum.
Please ask unrelated questions in a new topic.

More something for the QCAD Troubleshooting and Problems forum.

Trying several online converters I was finally able to convert your DGN to DXF.
I am not aware what the content should be.

Hi CVH,
I apologize that I placed my problem in this topic (custom from other discussions).
Thank you for answering and solving convert DGN to DXF.
I also found online converters, but they have some restrictions (especially with dozens of these files).
I would like to import DGN files directly to QCAD. Is there any solution?

We can read in the QCAD features list that DGN V8 (Microstation) is supported in Read Only mode.

Perhaps you can save your files in that format. :wink:
