DWG Support in Trial Pro Edition?

Do you have a question you want to ask an existing QCAD user about QCAD and what you can do with it? Do you want to know if a particular feature exists? This is the place to ask.

DWG Support in Trial Pro Edition?

Post by drdegroff » Sun Feb 12, 2023 8:40 pm

I just downloaded the Trial version of Pro and tried to open a DWG file. I received an error stating the ....x.dwg import failed. Tried opening a few different DWG files that were created in AutoCAD 2020. Do I need a non-trial version to open DWG files? Thanks.

No, the trial is a PRO version until you remove the PRO features to obtain the free CE version.

Please attach one such drawing if possible.

This is a common concern, as some trial versions have limitations on certain features, including DWG file support.
Not that I am aware of.

QCAD trial is a fully functional Pro version with limitations on session time and number of sessions.
Then there is also no reason to compare QCAD trial with trials of other applications.
