visual feedback when making polyline from segments

It would be nice if there was some sort of visual feedback that occurred when you make a polyline from segments.
It's not a big deal, but from a user interface standpoint it would make the user more confident that the operation he or she requested actually happened. Perhaps if the new polyline flashed brightly or something?
Thanks for a great piece of software. In addition to polyline support, I purchased the pro version largely because I appreciate that you've released the community version free and open source. I usually only use open-source software, and this was the first program I've purchased in a couple years.
