I can print using QCAD but it's fiddly to make drawings fit on standard letter sized paper. I've taken to opening them in Freecad and printing from there; in Freecad, it just works. I never get one or two lines because the print is ultra zoomed in.
I get QCAD's rationale for using "professional" settings, but the vast majority of QCAD users are very likely using a printer with A4 or letter sized paper. Please make "home/amateur" setups the default, so that I can file>print and get the current drawing on a single piece of paper without having to jump through the various tool hoops.
(I do prefer the drafting system in QCAD to Freecad fwiw - it's quick to use and quite intuitive.)
