I am used to inserting live dwg files into other dwg files as a way of assembling sets of pages with various layers of one drawing visible on those pages.
hoping to find a way to do that with QCad . . . different than importing . ...
two examples why this seems important:
a live dwg border inserted on a "lead sheet" makes unique pages with the same editable border,
and on those pages, a "live" dwg on various pages, shown with different layers "on",
helps editing design updates within a complex dwg,
and the changes track on each page where its shown in the set of plans.
Still learning about "view ports" . . . wondering if this is what they do.
New to QCad, long time user of "Intellicad" . . .
Thanks if anyone can help

QCAD does not support these socalled XREF entities at this point.

Thank you Andrew,
the next best thing to finding a useful solution,
is clearly knowing its not there, so stop looking.
saved me lots of time.
