Setting the Orientation for Angles

Hi a Newbie to QCAD here.
I am used to operating in AutoCAD/MicroStn with the preference setting that angles are entered with 0 being north and rotating clockwise. QCAD angles are set that 0 is East and rotating anticlockwise. I have been unable to find a setting that allows the angles to be changed.

I have found the display that allows you to measure the bearing/azimuth but I want to be able to enter the line orientation as a bearing/azimuth and have the readout in the properties window show that angle.

I am using Version 3.29.6.0 (3.29.6) for windows

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum.
QCAD uses the mathematical notation for angles.
It doesn't support a UCS for rotating & mirroring the plane.

You could enter angles as 90-angle, most input fields support simple to very complex calculations.
Or you could explicitly enter a bearing e.g. 326b33'00"
Or you could investigate using surveyors notation.
Bearing an surveyors notation can be used for the absolute or relative polar notation.

But this doesn't changes how angles are displayed in the GUI.

There is/are related feature request(s), e.g.

Hi and thanks for your response.

Hopefully this option can be included in an update in the near future.

Cheers
