Print parts of a drawing

Post by Smokie » Thu Oct 10, 2013 8:52 pm

Hi,

I'm a newbie to CAD and use qcad pro to create a ground plane of my house.
The drawing features a a complete floor including several layers. I need to create
a PDF export of just a part of the drawing (specifically just one room). However, I still need
the complete drawing and it's printing layout for a complete floor printout.

How can I print/export just a part of the drawing?
Is there something like separate printing layouts for a drawing, so that I can define one to print
everything on a A4 paper and several others to print e.g. just one room nicely on a A4 paper,
while still maintaining just one drawing?

regards Smokie

Hi Smokie - welcome to the forum.

Without seeing your drawing it isn't easy to give an answer which will provide a solution in the first place - but there are a couple possibility's with QCAD what can help you to get what you want.

Have you tried to find in the "Print preview" view a scale which will cover the size of only this particular room and then use the "Move page position" function to place the sheet at the right place?

Will that work for you?
