More templates and scales
Following on from the last question about templates and scales, I've chosen a frame and scaled it up accordingly, I draw a line at X length which apears correct in relation to the frame, and now the dimension is off the planet. so now i am drawing in 1:1 but QCAD has decided it's not going to dimension in 1:1.
Re: More templates and scales
When dimensioning, please make sure the dimension scale is set to 1:1:
If you cannot solve the problem, as always, please attach the drawing file (DXF, DWG).
If this is the case, the value shown is the real measure of your geometry. If you cannot solve the problem, as always, please attach the drawing file (DXF, DWG).

Re: More templates and scales
Got it thank you, although i am still a little curious why there are so many ways to adjust scale when in theory we have abandoned the idea of scale.
Re: More templates and scales
You might want to show a smaller part of a drawing in a detail view in a different scale. In that case, you still need a way to adjust the scale of your dimensions so they reflect the correct measurements. In short: you only need different scales for dimensions if you want to mix different scales in the same drawing.Mr Confused wrote:Got it thank you, although i am still a little curious why there are so many ways to adjust scale when in theory we have abandoned the idea of scale.
