I have drawn a part that has a front ( Bottom Drawing ) and back ( Top Drawing ) as shown in the image.
The difference is the dark lines that can be seen on the front and missing on the back.
These lines are on a layer.
To make the back (without the dark lines), I first copied the front, with the lines, and moved it.
To remove the lines from the copy, I tried selecting the copy and turning off the layer with the lines. But that hid the lines on both copies.
So instead of turning off the layer, I deleted the lines in the copy.
Is there a way that I can manipulate this project so that I can hide the lines by turning off the layer rather than deleting? If so, how is it done?
I want to print both front an back on the same sheet of foil laid out just as they are in the image.
I am using pro 3.19 on windows 7

Re: Copies And Layers
Yes. Everything you want to be able to show/hide can be put on a separate layer which you can then show/hide as desired.
Re: Copies And Layers
You can nest blocks, eg have two
1. Back View (draw the outline)
2. Front View (insert Back View, plus the lines you want in addition)
then insert Back View and Front View into your drawing and they will show differently. If you change Back View, then the outline portion of Front View will also change
