how do I draw tapering latitudinal lines on a globe ?

The globe with the longitudinal is actually much larger and was shrunk to fit the screen , All the pairs taper to the same point at each pole , there withs and spacing is random but seen full size they smoothly taper from pole to equator to pole , the effect in full size is very eye catching .

Ok so what I am getting is what I am doing is wrong and I perhaps should switch to a 3D program , The museums are full of 2D art made to look like 3D , but when I try it using a computer I am wrong , how can art be WRONG ? this is bogus .
