Suppressing 0" in dimensions

Post by shipmack » Sun Apr 08, 2018 4:54 pm

I am making soccer field layouts for my son. He wants the dimensions to be in feet and inches, but wants dimensions that are exactly a foot increment to not to display 0". I know that I can override the text, but I would much prefer to find a setting the will do this automatically. About 90% of the dimensions are to the foot and overriding them will take some time.

Hi - welcome to the QCAD Forum.

1. Bad news: To my knowledge there is not such an option in the current QCAD version. I would appreciate that option too.
However ...
2. Good news - there is a workaround.
Do all your dims - regardless showing that 0" or not,
then select all dimensions with that showing 0" phrase,
explode them,
use the "Find/Repace" tool below Menu/Edit,
"Find" -0"
"Replace with" stays empty and a click on Ok should made your sons day ....
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
