Hi everyone,
is there a special function for generating reference lines which will not be visible in a printout?
I would use constructions lines for that and would place them on a seperate layer which I would switch to invisible before I print it.
I assume that there is no quicker way?

Re: Reference lines
You might just want to make that layer not plottable (edit layer and uncheck plottable in layer dialog). This means it shows up on screen but never gets printed.

Re: Reference lines
Sorry, but I have seen that layer function and tried it. Still visible in print preview. At the moment I don't have a printer connected so I can't double check if it is still in the printout.
Hopefully I have not found a bug?

These layers are visible in layouts / print preview. Only not printed / exported to PDF. You can test this with a PDF export..

Re: Reference lines
no bug. Works.
With this software you have done a really great job. I hope you are young enough to keep QCAD alive for many more years.
