Qcad Architectural library In English vs sub headings in ????

Post by vdanny » Tue Sep 25, 2018 9:06 pm

Downloaded Qcad Architectural library. The Main Headings are in English, like Architecture, Electric, etc. YET, the sub categories are in a language that I cannot translate online and require renaming to English hundreds of sub categories folders. Is there residential electrical fixture symbols available in English from Qcad or others for free or small price? just need fairly basic electric fixture symbols, like switches, outlets, fans, etc see attached example:
QCAD Professional

These libraries are quite old archives of user contributed content which explains the language mess.

Nowadays there are better, much more extensive resources available online, both free and commercial. Have a look at the tutorial Working with the Part Library for a list of some free resources. I've also added some tips on how to find other ones.

I had already checked the Qcad links(https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-working-wi ... rt-library) and I don’t see anything available in English for electrical residential fixture symbols, i.e. fans, wall switches, outlets, 2 links are in German and would be the same problem or translation if they even exist there, and the third is cad blocks with 8 basic blocks, none with electrical. And, last is https://www.arcat.com/company/fsr-inc-4 ... boxes-1661 with none of that under electrical.
And, doing search of “DXF and any combination of “electrical residential fixture symbols” produces no results.
That’s why I was asking and still I’m asking where are these basic symbols?

Try to search for blocks instead of symbols like this example:

https://www.google.com/search?client=fi ... 5&dpr=1.25
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
