Setting Grid Units

Post by mlwoy » Sun Sep 30, 2018 10:12 pm

What are the steps for setting the units for the grid?
Say I want to use inches,
Major grid lines set to 1"
Minor grid points to .125"

What are the steps to accomplish this. I have looked in the manual and help system, and the forum and am coming up blank.

Qcad version: 3.21.2
Operating System: Windows 7

For the current drawing:
Make sure you set the unit to inch. Menu/Edit/Drawing Preferences/General/Drawing Unit
Adjustments for the Grit can be done below General/Grit
What you call "Major grid lines" is called in QCAD "Meta Grid spacing" and "Minor grid points" is called "Grid spacing".

For all NEW drawings:
If you need those settings for every new drawing then you have to put the vallues into Application Preferences - also below Menu/Edit/
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
