view 2 drawings side by side
I am wondering if it is possible to view 2 different drawings at the same time. I cannot find a setting to make a drawing not full size in the qcad window.
Re: view 2 drawings side by side
No - that isn't possible. You can load multiple drawings and switch within the tab register from one drawing to another but there are not visible at the same time.
But you can use "Viewports" to split a drawing into multiple windows but that is only for one drawing ...
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Re: view 2 drawings side by side
I knew about viewport info but wanting to look at different drawings. Thanks anyway.
Re: view 2 drawings side by side
I would also love to have a way to view a second file, preferably in another window so I can view it on another monitor. I know I can open a second QCAD instance, but that messes up the 'recent documents' (and in at least one occasion my settings)

Just open the drawing you want and then use the Import feature to open the second drawing on the same screen. But what it sounds like you want is the ability to place the already opened tabbed drawings on different monitors by designation.

David,
did you mean something as Arrange all, Tiled, Horz., Vert., Cascade in MS office style?
As Husky stated that isn't possible.
A multi display setup is another ballgame.
