Version: 3.13.1.0 (3.13.1) on Ubuntu 16.04.
When File-Print selected the only options shown are Print to File (PDF) or Print to File (Postscript). Why does my HP Deskjet 2540 no longer show?
Other print sources work OK.

You might have to link your printcap file to /etc:
sudo ln -s /var/run/cups/printcap /etc/printcap
