From a QCAD user:
When copying (parts of) one drawing to another / new drawing, the pasted geometry is not to scale.

It's generally recommendable to draw everything in real scale (1:1) in CAD. If your drawing is not constructed in real scale, you can scale it using the Modify > Scale tool.

When copying content from one drawing to another, please:
- Make sure both drawings have the same drawing unit (Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Drawing Unit).
- When pasting, make sure that the paste tool options are not applying any scale factor, mirroring, rotation, etc. You can reset all pasting options to defaults by clicking the reset button at the right:
