Centerline cross tool behavior

Hi,
I just ran on a weird situation with the tool: after selecting the tool the usual cross would not appear. I tried with opening a new drawing, drawing a circle, but still would not work.
I closed my file and QCAD as well, re-launched the file in a new session, then everything is normal again.
