Hi there
I'm a newbie to QCad and just trying to do some simple things. Is there a tutorial showing the basics somewhere ? eg how to draw a line to an exact length and then move it ?
Thanks

Hello albealedin - welcome to the forum.
http://www.ribbonsoft.com/doc/qcad/2.2/reference/en/
QCAD has also a "Status Bar" integrated in the Program what tells you what the current tool is expecting you to do.
You are able to turn it on/off below Menu/View/Status Bar
Besides that you will find a lot of youtube videos in the www - that helps too.
If you like to dive deeper into the material then it would make sense to invest a little amount of money for the QCAD Book - just excellent! This book is written by the QCAD Author himself and he knows what he is talking about ...

(hmmmmm - looks like they have this week a 20% discount for the QCAD Pro + Book bundle ...)
However - QCAD is easy to learn and with the QCAD Community Edition you are able to test it before spending money on a unknown product ...

... and if you stuck in a particular problem feel free to search this forum and if no answer pops up just post your question below the proper forum rubric - we are here to help!
To get you started I recommend to study this brief "What is / how to" to get an Idea about CAD in general and QCAD in particularalbealedin wrote:Hi there
