Repeatable crash when opening file from "Recent"

Post by johan162 » Mon Jul 30, 2018 7:24 am

Whenever I try to open a file from "File->Open Recent" my pro-qcad always crashes. If I open the file using "File->Open" it works as expected. Would be nice if this could be fixed.

Edit: This seems to be OSX specific. Does not happen on Linux.

System:
OSX 10.13.6

QCad version:

Version: 3.21.2.0 (3.21.2)
Build Date: Jul 9 2018
Revision: f9cea14
Qt Version: 5.10.0
Architecture: x86_64

Unfortunately, this also seems to be installation specific. I cannot reproduce this problem here under macOS 10.13.6.

If you can provide a complete crash log, that might be helpful, thanks.

I have attached the log (sorry for this I thought the crashlogs could be seen in your dev dashboard)

Some additional information. I also realized that this only seems to happen when storing in a folder that is synchronized with Google Drive. In order to have access to files everywhere I use a folder that is mirrored (this is done by "Google Backup & Sync" Version 3.42.9858.3671, previously known as Google Drive)

When I try on a non-synchronized folder it works as expected. I guess in the normal case you get the file via the normal system file dialogue and for the recent file list you open the file directly via some system calls which doesn't play well with a synchronized folder.

Edit: Wrongly said "drive" when I meant "folder".
