Invalid block names

Post by CVH » Wed Dec 09, 2020 7:03 am

Andrew,

Same file as here, same project:
https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=7882

There are several Blocks in the file named as *Uxxxx (considered an invalid naming)
While saving back as a copy there are less blocks but still some with *Uxx (still invalid)
The original Block-Layer structure is altered, without it being faulty to start with, as far as I can tell.
Entities turn up in different blocks.

The Block-Layer structure is kept when the invalid names are firts fixed with:
Menu .. Misc .. Block .. Fix Block Names.
What simply chops of the first character of the name and checks whether that doesn't exists or the name + '_1', 2, 3 ... doesn't exists.
Uxxxx (without an asteriks) isn't considered invalid any longer and saving 'as updated' loads back correct.

Regards,
CVH
